Formula Racing

1400 Hot Rods

1400 Hot Rods (Stock Rod Specification) are non contact high speed formula made up primarily of Novas, Saxos and Corsa.

Cars can have up to a 1400cc race tuned engine (see full specification for details).

These provide some close and fast racing and are always a joy to watch.

With a decent amount of cars, it can be extremely difficult to overtake without contact, leading to some daring high risk maneuvers in order to gain positions.
Bangers

These are a full contact formula, which is not for the feint hearted.

These cars can be based around any chassis, and do not have any re-enforcing other than an H Frame roll cage and a door plate to protect the drivers.

These are a budget formula where all you really need is an old scrap car and a roll cage.

This formula allows you to hit the opposition as hard as you can, and normally finishes off with demolition derbys where the last car running wins.
1600 Stox

1600 Stox are an entry level formula designed to encourage new drivers into the sport on a limited budget.

The formula is based on a LIMITED CONTACT set of rules that allow the drivers to hit other cars and push them or spin them out of the way. This is not a banger formula.

The concept of racing is to nudge or spin out the car in front rather than the intentional fencing of National Bangers.

Maximum engine size 1600cc
Mini Stocks

Mini Stocks are a formula for under 16s.

This 1000cc contact formula can often bring some great close racing, and some mega shunts and dunts.

The cars however, are built like tanks and are fully armoured with steel bumpers and chassis rails.

Drivers can start racing this formula from there 11th Birthday, and can continue to race these until they turn 16.

Always a good starter formula before moving into the senior ranks.
1300 Saloons

These are battle scared chariots carrying heavy offensive and defensive armouring, where full contact racing is most definitely the name of the game. To look at these cars you may think that no attention is put into these cars, well this isn't the case as these machines have as much care and attention lavished on them as any other formula.
The schedule for these cars is quite intense during the summer months so the drivers are kept busy!

These cars are economical to build and run for these drivers, whilst they are powered by 1300cc engines. Although not the largest power unit, the drivers are able to propel these cars close to those speeds seen by their Hot Rod brethren.

The Stock Cars have seen fields increase over the last year or two making way for some exciting racing on track. You will rarely see a dull races from these drivers!
Scottish Ftooz

Ftooz can offer fast, spectacular race action, as drivers push, shove and hit one another out of the way, in pursuit of glory.

This is an open wheel formula that can allow drivers of all levels to compete within reason. You can compete with a 10 year old car or a brand new car, depending on your knowledge of setting cars up to suit.

Ftooz are a popular formula, with drivers sitting just inches away from the ground, and can race around ovals at speeds up to around 70mph! The lightweight chassis, and raced up engines allow for quick acceleration giving drivers the ultimate adrenalin rush.
Super Rods

Super Rods are the pinnacle of the non-contact oval racing.

With a healthy field of cars you can expect some fantastic close fast racing, without the allowance of contact.

Drivers must show skill, bravery, and confidence to at times make some daring risky outside line manouvers to complete a pass.

To set your pulse racing, these are the elite of drivers around the short ovals, that race round at speeds of up to 80mph!
2.0 Stock Cars

2.0 Stock Cars are a full contact formula that allows drivers to hit there opposition as hard and as often as they like, provided they do not intentionally follow them into the fence.

These cars are based around Sierra, and more recently, Vectra and Mondeo shells. The cars are rear wheel drive running on a Ford 2.0 Pinto engine.

The cars are re-enforced with steel bumpers and through chassis, ensuring that these cars are very difficult to bend!
